THE FOUNDER

ARTHUR LUIS ZAMBONI

Founder, Director & Composer

There are filmmakers who make films. And there are those who make films because they can't do anything else—because they see audiovisual media not as a profession, but as a vocation. Arthur Luis Zamboni belongs to the second group.

My story

Born in Batatais, in the interior of São Paulo, Arthur built a career that few would dare to imagine. Music came first—first on the piano, then on the tuba, an instrument with which he joined the city's traditional Dr. Washington Luís Municipal Band. From the municipal band to international stages: this is the arc of a life dedicated to art with rare determination.

A composer since 2014, his works combine elements of classical and popular music—creating pieces performed by bands and groups of different styles and regions. A graduate in Animation Design from Faculdade Melies and in Visual Arts from Claretiano Centro Universitário, with a background also in Law, Arthur is a complete artist in the broadest sense of the word: musician, composer, arranger, director, and visual artist.

This multidisciplinary background is no accident. It's architecture. It's what allows Arthur to see a production simultaneously as art, as sound, as image, and as a work of art — from the script to the soundtrack, from the concept to the final frame.

From the Municipal Band to the USP Campus

One of the most significant milestones in his career as a composer was the performance of his own work at the University of São Paulo (USP) campus – Ribeirão Preto. His composition "Glorious March No. 1," of epic and cinematic character, was performed by the ALMA Symphonic Band, a group of which Arthur is a member of the ALMA Ribeirão Project – one of the most important musical initiatives in the region. The premiere took place under the direction of maestro José Matsumoto, before an audience that witnessed the birth of a work destined to endure.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Arthur Luis Zamboni not only crosses borders — he is recognized beyond them.

In 2025, he competed in the prestigious Call for Scores promoted by the European Recording Orchestra (ERO) — one of the most respected orchestral composition competitions in the world, bringing together composers from all continents. Among hundreds of entries from dozens of countries, Arthur won an Honorable Mention, ranking among the nine best composers in South America and among the best in the world.

The work evaluated by the international jury was precisely "Glorious March No. 1"—the same one that had premiered on the USP stage. The jury praised the originality, orchestral vigor, and narrative sense of the composition, characteristics that define Zamboni's artistic identity: the fusion between symphonic tradition and the expressiveness of contemporary cinema.

The achievement was highlighted in the regional press, with the Agora News newspaper featuring it on its front page:

"Arthur Luis Zamboni is recognized as one of the best composers in the world."

And the Jornal da Cidade de Batatais described him as one of the most versatile and promising names of the city's new artistic generation — a talent that represents a synthesis of Batatais' cultural vigor taken to the world.

A VOICE THAT REMAINS

"I'm not interested in the films that pass by. I'm interested in the films that remain." — Arthur Luis Zamboni

Founder of Zamboni Productions, Arthur now leads a production company forged on the epic scale of civilization—where classical art, history, and cinema meet to create works that withstand the test of time. From Batatais to the world: a filmmaker, composer, and visual artist who transforms grandeur into image, and image into memory.
